Tuija Teiska is a contemporary artist born in 1985 in Kajaani, Finland. She is currently living and working in Helsinki Finland. 


Teiska Tuija is a Finnish sculptor, textile artist, visual artist and installation artist. Teiska is best known for her radical textiles techniques and sculptural installations. Today, her works can be found in the collections of the Kiilto Family Oy Collection, Saastamoinen Foundation Art Collection/ EMMA Museum of Modern Art, The Finnish State Art Deposit Collection, Tampere Art Museum Collection, Joensuu Art Museum Collection, Aine Art Museum Collection, The Collection of The Prime Ministers Office Finland.

Her works are originate in the memories and personal emotional reactions. As artistic work she use textile materials, found materials and her own body. Works inclueted performances, videos, textile works, sculptures, installations and drawings.

Artist statement? All of my subjects were inspired by memories, and the how memories are changes and disappear on the time, it is dialogy with time and timeless. Most of the memories comes from my childhood on Northen Finland.
